Ana Alejos is a Mexican abstract photographer currently based in Lisbon. Looking to create an illusion and bend the concept of reality, she works with perspectives, distortion, and visual manipulation as her main creative tool. Mundanity plays a big role in her practice since this is what it’s commonly referred to as real.
What’s the one thing throughout your creative process that you enjoy the most?
The results, just because that’s when I’m officially done and I can move on to other things happening at the time or in my head. I kinda like the process, but it can be stressful to understand the creative idea I had and try to work with what I have or can do.
What’s one thing the world pandemic has taught you?
How fragile life can be, not talking about death, but how life is so unexpected and new every single second.
Who are your three dinner party dream guests?
Pippiloti Rist, Chris Maggio, Enya Umanzor. They seem like a lot of fun!
