What is your first art-related memory?
At my preschool, they had a Picasso book I would stare at during reading time nearly every day. Then I would go home and try to recreate what I saw with the copy of Kid Pix installed on my family’s computer. I was also obsessed with commercials as a child; 30 seconds of a heavily stylized, idealized world of commodity fetishization and sensory bombardment. I feel that all plays into my work as an adult.
The object that is always with you when you work?
My home stereo system, a humidifier and a huge mug of blag coffee.
