Melissa and Gulnara launched the Blue Wash project in 2020, in the middle of the Covid-19 pandemic, as they always found art very life-affirming, and during dark and uncertain times it helped them, so they wanted to share it with the rest of the world and launched the online platform in July 2021.
Blue Wash ensures complete carbon neutrality throughout the entire printing process using theprintspace, the UK’s first fine art printing service that aims to reduce our environmental footprint. Achieving carbon neutrality means first reducing emissions and then offsetting the remaining emissions, helping fund projects for a safer climate and a more sustainable world of art.
